GAH, I just discovered that Jared, Jensen, and Micsha Collins are going to be at a Supernatural convention in Sydney on April 18th-19th. Less than a week after deciding to go to Melbourne first and booking my flight to there. Waaaah. :( I suppose it'd be silly to spend money to change my flight to just go to Sydney and start there, or to go to Melbourne then fly back up to Sydney for the weekend. Especially since the con is $150 per day. o.o And all the photo-ops are sold out. And autographs are $40 each for the main boys. I'm trying to tell myself it'd be silly and frivolous and expensive, but but... :( They'd be so CLOSE! And I was so close to starting off in Sydney in which case I would have been there! Sigh. Oh well... On the plus side, I've been digging around online and have found some Australian SF groups, OzScape 3 in Sydney in early June (mainly a Farscape con, it seems, and featuring Lani Tupu, Wayne Pygram, and Kent McCord this year... with more guests probably to be announced. Also a bunch of classic BSG guests because they're evidently doing a special classic BSG event this year, too, but I don't really care about that), soem Australian Browncoats groups (and I realized I could go to Can't Stop the Serenity in Australia this year! Last year they happened in several cities, so hopefully one will coincide with wherever I am... and realistically speaking, I'm probably going to end up planning my travels at least partially on when/where the country's SF events are. XD XD).

Anyway, there's a SF group that meets weekly in Melbourne, so I'll check that out - if anything, it'd be a good way to meet some people (and locals, not just other travellers...). Mom wants me to join fitness classes to meet people - instead I joing SF clubs. XD XD Though okay, I should do the fitness classes too...

Heh, you know... it just occurred to me that it's kinda absurd how I've been living in the same city as Jared & Jensen for the last several years, yet it takes me going halfway around the world to get the opportunity to meet them... and now I won't even be able to. -____- Oh wells. *sigh*

Dude...are you going to be back in Vancouver in August? You know there is an SPN con in van at the end? Jared and Jensen and Misha will be there as well. :)

Oooh, is there??? How do I miss hearing about these things? -_- Do you have a link to more info by any chance? Anyway, I might be back... it's all kinda up in the air, and depends on how I'm feeling by then. ^^ I'm booked to return end of September, but I expect that to change no matter what...

Okay n/m, I just googled it. ^^ Yikes, expensive... but local, at least. Go figure, I seem to be doomed this year. XD May be back though, so we'll see... anyway, I imagine the single day/general admission tickets will be more affordable.

Oh dear. That does pose a bit of a problem, though of course, you DO have an opportunity to stalk see the boys in these here parts, if you ever choose to take it. I know there's a branch of the Parks Board that assists film crews. You just need to befriend one of them…

I'm glad you've found cons and SFers down under, though.

Lol yeah, I need to get some contacts on the film crew. XD I keep hoping Dad'll rent some art to them, or we'll rent our house in town to them - I mean heck, his art's been in practically every other major SF/fantasy/etc show that's filmed in Vancouver (except Smallville, wah). And the house has been in 3 separate shows... how much of a stretch would it be? ;) And it's a pretty old/kinda creepy shack-in-the-woods type of place... ripe for a haunting in need of two sexy demon hunters to exorcise...

In fact.. *scrounges a bit* Here's a screencap of it from Men in Trees - http://swizzmizz.com/gallery/displayimage.php?album=114&pos=366
Since I realized you've never been there... you're not missing much, I assure you. ^^ (my bedroom's the window on the right...) It's really weird to be going online and googling for screencaps from a TV show to find a picture of the house I've lived in for most of my life. XD Not least because I don't even have any pics of it on my computer, so this is all I could do... *keeps digging* Crap, this is still so weird... http://swizzmizz.com/gallery/displayimage.php?album=114&pos=375 The front hallway, and a bit of my bedroom door. And one of the stars of the show. ^^ And dear god, that painting is their's I promise - Dad would never let something like that near the house, otherwise. XD

Yeah. Actually… you've got a point about your house, and your dad's art. We've only had one haunted painting in four seasons. This is a tragedy. We need another! (Why can't abstract art be evil? *shot*) And your creepy house would indeed be a good location. I wonder if the location people even know about it?

lol Yeah, I bet that's sort of an odd feeling. I don't even think my house has photos online, or I'd reciprocate.

Not sure if they do... Dad knows various set decorators in the industry from other shows, but I'm not sure if any of them work on SPN... too bad. *sigh* Still holding out hope, though!

There is always hope. XD Just had an idea for a plot: Crazy artist guy uses his blood as the "red paint" in one of his paintings; crazy artist guy dies a horrible death; crazy artist guy's ghost exits the painting to murder people who resemble the guy who killed him (I'm seeing, tall, long hair, kind of nerdy); enter Sam, Dean, and eventual "omg! blood in painting!" realization after salt and burn doesn't work.

What do you think? Feasible? XD
