I GOT TICKETS TO HAMLET OMFG!!!!!!!!!!!
I love my mother. :) She's been calling the RSC semi-regularly, even at 4am some days since returns come in ~noon London time, and she called some time this morning and got two tickets for the day we can go!!!!!! She called and woke me up at 7:30 to tell me the news. I jumped around squealing for awhile, even though I was exhausted. ^^ Can't believe it! We've been trying to get tickets for MONTHES, checking online, calling the RSC, going to forums... I still have those tickets for the 24th I'm trying to get rid of (was going to sell them to someone, but she wants to do it via eBay, and given the RSC's (valid) policy towards eBay, I don't like the idea of doing it there, even for face value... anyway, waiting to hear back from her if she's willing to do it via Paypal, but if I don't hear from her soon I'm posting them to the DT forum.
I'm so excited. ^___^ I'd kinda given up hope at this point and was getting depressed, esp because I HAVE tickets just for a day I couldn't go. But I've been imagining this moment for ages... *happy sigh* They're in the dress circle (the second area up - stalls are on the floor, dress circle above that, and balcony above that), second row she said, not sure which seats exactly. But it's a small theatre, and I've heard there are no bad seats in the house. I'm sure they'll be fine - bird's eye view. :) (suppose not quite as good as the front row stalls seats I have for the other date, but otoh those were right on the side, which isn't ideal either). Anyway. Really don't care, so long as I have seats, and they're not standing room only. And they're cheaper than the other ones - I paid 37 pounds each for those ones (30 pounds plus a rather exhorbitant 7 pounds each booking fee from the reseller), and these were 20 (and the RSC doesn't charge a booking fee, or at least not much of one).
*bounce* I'm tired now cuz I couldn't get back to sleep and now it's time for me to actually be up and get ready for work, but oh wells... gonna go shower and grab breakfast now, and bounce around a bit more. :)

Date: 2008-08-20 05:52 am (UTC)My plans for the day are … uncertain. I'm meeting with a friend, but I don't know when, or for how long. I can say, though, that I have to leave at X time, so that should be okay. Should probably go email her now and sort that all out… 5:50 is probably the best ferry time, but I'll get back to you.
It think Sat morning depends on how late we stay up the night before, lol. Hanging out with you at the table sounds fun, but I might not be completely conscious…. I have to be at work at 3:30 which means I have to be on a bus in Horseshoe Bay no later than 2:00.

Date: 2008-08-21 04:20 am (UTC)And yay for Heroes! Happy early birthday, too! Sorry I'll miss it. :( Are you doing anything on or around the day? And any particular birthday present requests? Or else, I'll see what I can find when I'm away...
Okay, let me know what works for you. For Saturday, you'll need to take the 12:45 ferry - next one after that is 3:05. And we should make tentative plans on what to do.. aka what to watch... XD Torchwood's on at 9 on Space if you want to watch it. Aside from that, movie or TV shows or something? ^^
