Smallville, other TV, dolls...

EEE Smallville was freaking awesome tonight! So much love for Jimmy Olsen and 1940s film. XD XD And I'm relatively sure that at least part of the idea for that storyline was based on a classic episode of Moonlighting that we watched in my TV Studies class... I just adored the whole 1940s film setting, and how it was even shot like a 1940s film (the somewhat cheesy effects in the car chase/train scene? The show could obviously do better than that, so I'm quite sure they were supposed to be like a 40s-era film would be). And Lois with the big hair and the dress and the singing=hot as hell. And JIMMY, so damned adorable with his wish to be all heroic and how he imagines himself as a hero in his dream. Awww...

The 'real' storyline=meh, though generally interesting. Mostly I just thoroughly enjoyed the dream scenes. Also made me desperately wish that Angel had done a b&w episode, because that would've been awesome...

The Office tonight was also fantastic; I was cracking up throughout. Oh Michael, oh Dwight, I love you both. <3 "I'm not being sexist, I'm being misogynistic, they're completely different things." "They're the same thing..." LOL Michael is so adorably stupid and dorky and hopeless... Yeah, I love this show. :) Except evidentally it (or Earl, not sure which) went on 15 minutes long and I didn't realize until it was over, so I missed the start of Grey's Anatomy... considered between coming in late and downloading it and decided on the latter. Blah, I was looking forward to tonight's episode, too, what with the spinoff pilot ep.

Anyway, we're back up on the island now. Just Dad and I for the weekend; Mom's off in Kelowna or somewhere visiting friends. I start work on Sunday.. meep. Meanwhile, working hard on dolls. ^__^ Sammy!Doll is coming along; I've got 1 eye partway done. It takes FOREVER, yeesh. He's going to be bigger than my other ones; 20" instead of 15". And he's gonna be adorkable. XD Heh, maybe it'd be fitting to make Dean!Doll the normal 15" to show how big Sam is, lol. Nah, I think I'll make em both 20"... makes them more cuddleable. *is excited*

Supernatural's taped for tonight. Allllmost caught up; watched ep12 today. Really enjoyed it, too. 8 more eps; oughta be done by next Thursday so I can watch ep21 live. Yay! And Sammy!Doll oughta be done by then so I can cuddle him while I watch. ^__^

Yeah. I really liked the ending of that episode - the part where they're sitting in the car.

Yeah, I saw it. Didn't really like it much, but that might have been because I was a zombie, laying down at the time.

Really? I enjoyed it a ton. Loved the whole 1940s-era film setting; I just kept clapping my hands giddily and giggling. XD Lots of fun.

Boored. Don't want to go to bed, but have nothing to do... entertain me. XD Or else I'm going to go hunt out more Jared/Jensen fic. Or pictures. Or maybe just watch another ep. *cough* But I've already seen a good chunk of the next ep (came across it on TV a few monthes ago and watched it) and it's pretty much filler... meeh. Want to get through it to the really good stuff I gather is coming up. :)

Yeah, I didn't like 2.13. I found it to be too preachy, but given that religion was its main focus, I didn't find that to be too surprising. -_-

2.14 was an excellent story episode, but it somehow had the least number of viewers thus far. 2.15 after that is one of my favorites of the season.

2.16, ok. 2.17, one of the best. 2.18 good. 2.19 good. 2.20, excellent.

2.21, hurry up and get here. D:

I actually enjyoed 2.13 more than I thought I would... course, most of it I'd already seen, but it was okay watching it again now that I'm at this point. I liked how Sam feels the need to believe in angels and God, to have some sort of faith beyond just knowing what he sees. With the kind of life he leads, and knowing the kind of person he is, it makes sense. And Dean jokingly asking if Sam's going to start praying every night and Sam replying that he does was great and says so much about both characters.

Just finished 2.14; it was really good. Sammy... :(

Heh, I still haven't seen the British version of The Office... I'd like to someday. Mom watched it and she really liked it (she also owns s1 of Ricky Gervais's current series, Extras, which is pretty funny). The American version is pretty freaking awesome; I adore it. ^^ But I've heard the British version is also very good, even better (surprise surprise, eh? Brits always seem to do things better...) You ever seen any of the American version?

Btw, I hear you guys are coming in August now so you'll be able to come! That's awesome. :) And I'm really kinda glad that I will be able to read Deathly Hallows straight through without having to pause for Grandma's party on the 22nd, heh. XD
