I happened to check Rpgamer.com a few minutes ago and noticed that FFIII:DS comes out today (I haven't really been keeping track...). I'm probably just being too over-emotional, but this day feels rather historic in the RPG world - the last Final Fantasy that wasn't released in the US is finally here. I checked, and it's been approximately 16.5 years since FFIII was released in Japan - well, better late than never, I guess. XD I mean sure, I played it years ago on a translated ROM and I won't be buying this version anytime soon (lack of a DS... and lack of time to play. woe.), but it's still cool to think that it's here. It's sort of a pity that the original version of the game will never make it here, most likely (how hard would it have been to include the orignal version in the new game, really...?), but the new version looks pretty spiffy. Hopefully I'll get to play it someday.

3 FF games in the past 2 weeks, 2 of which are new to the US (FFXII and FFIII:DS) and one of which only ever made it here in a mangled fashion (FFV Advance) - makes me miss the days when I could play all the time... I haven't really been into gaming as much the last few years, largely because of a. lack of time during school, b. other interests take up my free time, and c. i'm lazy., but I still get excited hearing about games and still want to play when I get the chance. I'm way behind on all the games I'm playing, but I still plan to ask for either FFXII or Disgaea 2 for Christmas (leaning towards the latter - FFXII will be easy enough to find for years to come, and it'll get cheap fairly quickly, whereas Disgaea 2 will start disappearing soon...). I am sorely tempted by FFXII, though - it's been getting fantastic reviews, and hell, it's FFXII! We've been waiting for this game for years, and it's finally here... and I really can't justify the time or money to get it. Part of me, too, is still a bit uncertain about it - but most of the reviews have said that the game is nothing like (and much better than) anything we've seen of it to this point, including the demo. I plan to give it a chance eventually, but can't do it yet.

And... I'm procrastinating. Back to my Farscape paper... it's due tomorrow at 9, so I need to get moving. Up to 5 pages, need about 12 - and I'm still blathering on about the context, haven't even gotten to analysing the series itself! Ehehehe. baaack to work.

That would be pretty dark, yeah. Heh. Though lots of crime shows depict children being killed and such, so... least I think they do, not watching many such shows myself.

Do they show the actual execution? Or just bodies?

Even with all the horror movies I've seen, I can't recall a moment when they showed a child being murdered.

I dunno, I haven't seen enough... mostly bodies, prob, and maybe the lead-up to the murder without the actual act.

DEAN. ;_;

Few more minutes left... damned commercials.

No shit. That was pretty graphic for TV.

I just hope it doesn't end here. :|

Thinking about it, the last time we saw Sam's telekinetic powers was when Dean was in grave danger. Same thing here; I wonder what Lilith's goal is.

Yeah, true... and I do wonder what Lilith wants with Sam, even if she claims she doesn't want anything he has.

Oh FUCK YOU KRIPKE.^^; Knew it would end that way... evil man.

I wonder if he really is dead, and not in some sort of limbo. I can't really imagine them writing him out of the show for half a season or whatever..

Yeah, I wonder... there's only so much mileage they can get of having him in Hell screaming in agony. ^^; Maybe they'll rescue him in the first couple of eps.

Anyway, I figure Jensen's contract wouldn't allow him to be out of the show for long. ^^

That, and it would just ruin the whole dynamic of the show.

I thought it was a pretty good episode overall. After so many mediocre fillers, it's nice to have one that's all about the lore.

I wonder where Bobby and Ruby are.. Hah.. If Dean is in Hell, I wonder if he'll be forced to work together (and get along) with her to get out...

Haven't really gathered my thoughts yet, I think.

Yeah, it was a good ep. S2 finale's prob still my favourite, though.

Glad Bobby survived. ^^ Maybe we'll see Ellen next season??

Season 2's finale was epic. But it was the conclusion of an epic arc which spanned two seasons. I'm willing to bet that season's 4 conclusion will be pretty damn good too. It kind of fits into the whole pattern of the show. Season 5 will probably be an encompassing series finale.

That site has an interview with Kripke which drops a few hints for season 4. Things concerning Mary, Dean, etc..

Frankly I'm surprised that Bobby has managed to survive for so long. The show has always been about Dean and Sam, and every secondary character (including someone as important as John), has been done away with in some manner. Logic would follow that Bobby's time would come, but so far he's managed to stick around - not that I'm complaining; he's fucking awesome. But now every time he's in an episode, I dread that it'll be his last. :\

I really do hope they bring Ellen back. If she died in season 2, I would have liked to see it. Mysteriously writing characters out and never referring to them again is not cool.

Yeah, that was graphic... o.o

Hmm, it's only 9:52... hopefully a few more minutes.

And there it is. The end. Can't say I was surprised.

Me neither. Esp since the promo clearly showed Sam holding Dean's body and crying... -_-

Haha.. Yeah I made a huge effort to avoid spoilers today, but I still knew. It's just one of those things you see coming.

I didn't know any spoilers, but I'd seen the promo... hate it when promos spoil stuff.
