I happened to check Rpgamer.com a few minutes ago and noticed that FFIII:DS comes out today (I haven't really been keeping track...). I'm probably just being too over-emotional, but this day feels rather historic in the RPG world - the last Final Fantasy that wasn't released in the US is finally here. I checked, and it's been approximately 16.5 years since FFIII was released in Japan - well, better late than never, I guess. XD I mean sure, I played it years ago on a translated ROM and I won't be buying this version anytime soon (lack of a DS... and lack of time to play. woe.), but it's still cool to think that it's here. It's sort of a pity that the original version of the game will never make it here, most likely (how hard would it have been to include the orignal version in the new game, really...?), but the new version looks pretty spiffy. Hopefully I'll get to play it someday.

3 FF games in the past 2 weeks, 2 of which are new to the US (FFXII and FFIII:DS) and one of which only ever made it here in a mangled fashion (FFV Advance) - makes me miss the days when I could play all the time... I haven't really been into gaming as much the last few years, largely because of a. lack of time during school, b. other interests take up my free time, and c. i'm lazy., but I still get excited hearing about games and still want to play when I get the chance. I'm way behind on all the games I'm playing, but I still plan to ask for either FFXII or Disgaea 2 for Christmas (leaning towards the latter - FFXII will be easy enough to find for years to come, and it'll get cheap fairly quickly, whereas Disgaea 2 will start disappearing soon...). I am sorely tempted by FFXII, though - it's been getting fantastic reviews, and hell, it's FFXII! We've been waiting for this game for years, and it's finally here... and I really can't justify the time or money to get it. Part of me, too, is still a bit uncertain about it - but most of the reviews have said that the game is nothing like (and much better than) anything we've seen of it to this point, including the demo. I plan to give it a chance eventually, but can't do it yet.

And... I'm procrastinating. Back to my Farscape paper... it's due tomorrow at 9, so I need to get moving. Up to 5 pages, need about 12 - and I'm still blathering on about the context, haven't even gotten to analysing the series itself! Ehehehe. baaack to work.

Go us. XD And we're up to 520+. Woo hoo! 1000 here we come... we should see if we can do it as quick as possible. It took us 6 or so monthes to do the last 500...

Laaazy. Been watching TV all evening. House, then SVU, then switched between Letterman and Leno from 11:30-12:15 to see Masi Oka and Orlando Bloom, then watched some Friends, now watching The X-Files... I remember this ep. Guy could kill people with his shadow or something.

Almost finished Dean!Doll's body, just sewing his legs on... Woo hoo!

As quickly as possible? I could have that done in about four days, if I really wanted to. But that wouldn't be fun, now would it? ;p

I'm bored too. I bought next semester's textbooks before summer, and I think I'll start reading just to have something to do, and it's probably a pretty smart idea, I think.

I need to read those Buffy comics too. How long are you in North Van. again?

Haha, true... well, we can stretch it out.

Ah, you Science students... us Arts students are lazy and don't do things like that. XD Though I think I can claim that by watching a ton of TV this summer I am studying and preparing for my future career in TV or entertainment writing. XD XD

Until Friday or late Thursday. Keep em as long as you want (within reason... XD), I don't need them back soon. Soon as I get #4 and read it (early June) you can borrow it too.

Will call ~3. Ttyl.

That was fun.

Yay, so Supernatural is officially in for a new season. But everyone says it was on the fence.. I wonder just how close it was to cancellation though.

What, pool? Yeah... gotta say, their new place is nicer all things considered.

Yup, so I hear. CW Upfronts are tomorrow, but they've already announced that. We'll find out tomorrow about the schedule, though I imagine it'll stay the same. Damned Thursdays... -_- Too many shows that day! And they moved The Office to 9 so now I have THREE shows at 9. Argh.

Yeah, I agree. But I think that their old location was better. The new place felt kind of tucked away; I'm not sure one would notice it from the road.

Bleh, at times like these a DVR would come in handy. :\

Yeah, that's true... it's kinda hard to find if you don't know it's there.

God, a DVR would be wonderful... o.o I wish Tivo was up here.

I think Shaw offers a DVR, but I don't know how good it is.

Yeah, they do, I'm always seeing commercials for it. No idea how good it is, and it's probably pretty expensive... anyway, tomorrow will be interesting - I'll be out with Jane all evening, so I need to call Mom and get her to tape my shows. 4 shows, 3 networks, 2 VCRs... and she sucks at this stuff even though the extent of it really is just "stick in tape, change channel, press record". This will definitely be interesting. At LEAST I want her to get a tape going on the CW at 8 so I can get SV and SPN to watch Friday. Sigh.

Yeah, that's what I thought. And yeah, I've seen SPN on at some point on Saturday too... well, if she doesn't tape it I'll watch it on Friday night. ^^; Not much longer to wait then if she taped it, anyway. Though at least I could fastforward through commercials...

I gave Dean!Doll hair. Yay.

It was at the very beginning. I'm watching The CW one.

Huh, guess I didn't hear it. Oh well. I think I remember this one...

You know, we're over 550 already... wow.

Hehe.. New icon. I thought it was someone else posting for a second though, to be honest.

550..Didn't we just break 500? Meh, I guess all we need is a topic and the post-count goes up a whole lot.

Lol. Yeah bored of my Chris one, needed a new one... did some SPN icon searching the other day and chose this one to use, for now. Adorkable pic of him. XD

Yeah, I know. We're fast. :) See, this is what I meant - quickly raise the comment count through actual discussion as opposed to purposeful spamming of crap. ;p

Yeah, but I only purposefully spam crap when there's nothing to talk about, and occasionally it stimulates actual conversation. ;p

True. I meant, earlier you said that you could quickly up the comment count if you wanted to and I thought you meant by posting lots of random crap. That's what I was referring to. :) Occasional random crap is definitely good...
