I'm in Florence now. Left Edinburgh yesterday morning really early and flew back to London Gatwick, then met up with my group and flew to Florence. Got here in the evening, had some orientation and dinner, wandered around seeking the internet (only to learn that we need our passports and we didn't have them on us...), then went to bed. This morning we had a brief lesson then did nothing all afternoon. It's beautiful here. We're staying in a campsite (more like a mini town) about 30 min out of Florence. It's huge - several restaurants, pools, stores... we're staying in small trailers, 2 to each. And it's really pretty - we have a nice view of the countryside. The weather's not great yet - it's nice, pretty warm, but not very hot. Anyway, I have to make this post short - only have a few minutes left on the computer. Tomorrow's our first day in Florence itself; I'm looking forward to it! It's so nice to be back in Italy again; it's been almost 5 years since I was here last. The people in my group are nice, and I'm getting to know everyone's names slowly.

Okay, got to go now, only 2 min left. Hope you guys are all doing well back in Vancouver! :)

Whoot that's nice it looks like you've got plenty of space, I hope your flatmate's all right too. Do they charge for internet or is it just an ID thing? It looks like you'll be paying a lot but hey, Italy is touristy expensive anyway. XD I hope the mobile works out for you...

My flatmate's nice, yeah. Starting to get to know everyone in our group, and it's nice just hanging out at night outside our trailers chatting and eating. And we're being moved into a new trailer because of the ant problem, thank god. Seems like it's just a few of us who have the problem.

Internet costs money, yeah. It's ridiculously expensive at the campsite, but not bad in town. I'm in an Internet cafe right now, and we have to bring a passport once to register then we get a card which we can add money to. I spent 9 Euros for 3 hours... not great, but not bad.

Italy's not as expensive as Edinburgh was, at least. And food's pretty cheap - we did a big shop yesterday and it was 45 Euros for the two of us (my roommate and me). I just have to resist the urge to buy lots of stuff. XD It's a good thing that I don't care much about clothing, because all of the other girls are dying to buy a ton of clothing and they'll probably spend a lot by the end... I'm going to buy some, but I don't really care.

Okay, people are starting to leave so I better take off for now. Ttyl.

Hah-hah, ants. XD XD I prolly won't get a chance to visit you because I'll basically have a weekend between trips and going home, but oh well! Have fun in all those lovely places, and hopefully we'll be able to meet before I leave for Tunisia! Dy~ing to see X3...

I'm pretty sure Florence had a few cheap/free internet places last time I was there... check public libraries, perhaps? Same sorta thing, you'll need to take your passport in and sign up for a spot.

Well, it is, Italy. lol Of course get tons of nice and not-made-in-China clothing while you can!!!

Heh, yeah, we can try. I think there's only about 1-2 days between the time I return and you leave, though.

Hmm, maybe I'll look around. Though I still have a couple of hours left on this card.
