OMFG. One of my friends in Pop Culture 2P20 just emailed me and told me that our essays are now due Thursday, not tomorrow! I would never have known, since I never check my Brock email, which is were the notice was sent. I am SO happy right now, albeit not entirely certain of how to proceed. Got an essay due Wednesday, too, and had wanted to get this one out of the way so I could start that one tomorrow evening. Will probably write at least some more of this one tonight, then start concentrating on Wednesday's paper for Pop Cinema.

But YAY, because this essay is driving me nuts. It's on fan communities and fan action/participation, in particular the increasing number of fannish charities recently (Serenity Equality Now screenings, fandom_charity... they're popping up everywhere, but I can't find any academic research on them even though I think they're quite an interesting (and fairly recent, I think, at least to this extent) phenomenon). It can only be 2000 words and, well... suffice to say, my first two essays this term have been ~5500 and 3300 words respectively. Yeah. Not so good with short essays. ^^; On the plus side, it means I don't have to write as much, so yay.

Hah, nice. Reminds me of the time my psychology midterm was held back a week, except I didn't know about it until I went to class. I wish my exams would be held back a week. :/

You should log into your Brock e-mail and see if there is a way to forward all messages to your G-mail account. This is how I have my college e-mail set up, so that I never miss anything.

I checked the Brock webmail page, but can't find any way to forward the messages to Gmail... siigh. Guess I'll just have to remember to check it frequently. bleh.

God I love the snow. Everything is so pretty atm. Won't last - tomorrow the sun will come out and the cars and kids will disturb the snow everywhere. :/

Yeah, I love it when the snow is fresh, too. It's beautiful when everything's covered completely and it's undisturbed. Anyway, according to weathernetwork.com the temperatures over the next few days are supposed to be pretty cold, so maybe it'll stick around for a bit.

I remember when I spent two weeks during winter break in a cabin in Windfield. We'd get like 5ft of snow every night. We could disturb it all we wanted, but every morning there'd be a fresh new layer. That was an awesome winter.

I don't remember, exactly. I believe it was either the winter of Grade 8 or 9. Winfield (I spelled it wrong previously) is located in southcentral BC, very close to Kelowna: http://www.juniperridgeacreage.com/images/Okanagan_areara.jpg

The cabin we stayed at was on a mountain. The car started sliding off a cliff because of road ice on our way down. Almost died; was pretty cool. :D
