[livejournal.com profile] bk635 - do you want to watch Firefly then go see Serenity at the Pacific Cinematheque on June 24th? They're screening it for charity and Joss Whedon's birthday. It'll give you a chance to see it on the big screen, instead of just on TV... and I'm hoping to go, but I want someone to go with. Plus I need to order tickets asap. You've got almost two weeks, so if you want to watch through the show soon then we could go (and it'd give you incentive to watch. ^_^)

Here's the info:

http://serenityscreeningvan.blogspot.com/

Anyway, think about it. You may not get another chance to see it in the theatre, so...

I assume you'd be coming too? If so, then yeah, go for it. Having an actual deadline to watch it is probably going to make me..watch it. :p Plus you'd probably dying to convert another person to Farscape so doing this will give you an opportunity to do so. :o

Yeah, of course I'm coming. XD I want to see it again, because I've only seen it twice... So, can I count that as a definite? Because I need to order the tickets, and I don't want to be stuck with an extra one. I could probably sell it to someone at the FF meetup group, but even so... Anyway, I'll pay for the tickets through my Paypal account, and you can pay me back for yours.

And heh, yeah, after FF we'll work on Farscape. XD If you want, anyway. But imo it's definitely worth watching, plus at least it got 4 seasons instead of just 14 episodes... it was still a TV travesty that it was cancelled, though. Damned networks cancel everything good. -_-

Yeah, definite. I'd like to do a lot of stuff this summer..

Awesome. :) I'll order them tomorrow.

How much is this going to cost, anyway?

$15. I just ordered the tickets; they're available for pickup at the door.

Gaaaaaaaaaah..... ;__; Gonna kill myself from boredom. *sigh*

Plus I just realized that it's Wednesday, so Friends isn't on... TBS shows 2 hours of Raymond on Wednesdays.

... ... ...yes, I have no life.

I hate the new Zap2it grid.

Eh, it's not too different, but yeah I like the old one better too. At least you can still use the old one if you want.

My ankles are actually sore today from those rocks yesterday. ;p

I should walk around with a cane; that would be pretty cool.

From: [identity profile] ria-oaks.livejournal.com
Heh, yeah, you could get a cane, start limping, and snark at everybody. And express a general hatred of humanity, but you do that anyway. XD And, of course, solve unsolvable medical mysteries in the nick of time...

Hm, come to think of it this might not be too much of a stretch, especially if you go into Medicine. ;p

I see where you're going with this; not very subtle. :p

I'm addicted to chocolate-covered almonds. I swear to god, best thing ever.

Today, I also figured out who would win in a match between Jesus and Moses. My conclusion is very solid.

From: [identity profile] ria-oaks.livejournal.com
Wasn't trying to be subtle. XD

Mmm, chocolate covered almonds... don't tempt me...

Okay then, who would win?

Date: 2006-06-15 04:49 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] bk635.livejournal.com
*tempt*

Basically, if Jesus were to fight against Moses, the fight would result in a stalemate.

You see, Moses is a prophet, so he would be able to predict, and therefore circumvent, any move that Jesus would make.

Jesus' special ability, on the other hand, is to come back from the dead. So essentially, Moses would never be able to kill Jesus. Jesus also wouldn't be able to kill Moses, because that would be a violation of the Ten Commandments.

So the fight wouldn't really go anywhere.

From: [identity profile] ria-oaks.livejournal.com
Bwahaha, that's awesome. XD Nice reasoning about how they couldn't actually kill each other and therefore the entire fight would be pointless... see, you could teach Bible studies based on this. ;p

I'm supposed to be preparing for a mock interview with Mom in preparation for my interview at the gallery on Monday... I'm having trouble thinking up good proof stories (ie. how I reacted in an emergency) because every time I think of something stressful that happened at work, I didn't actually handle it well. -_- Not a good sign... *sigh*

From: [identity profile] bk635.livejournal.com
What would you say if you honestly never found yourself in such a situation? I've always wondered..

Date: 2006-06-15 05:14 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] ria-oaks.livejournal.com
Hmm... well, it doesn't necessarily have to be something at work, esp if you don't have much work experience. Anything else that's happened that was stressful and where you had to react/problem solve under pressure would work. It's weird how I know this kind of thing has happened to me plenty of times, but I can't think of any specific examples... never mind examples where I actually handled it well without panicking. *sigh* Panicking under pressure is not what employers want to hear. ^^;

Tell her about one of those times where you pulled off an A on a major test, which you didn't study for, because you felt like doing a marathon through Angel or Farscape or something, instead.

Date: 2006-06-15 06:58 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] ria-oaks.livejournal.com
Heh, yeah, that'd go over well. XD

Had the mock interview awhile ago; it went pretty well. It's kinda weird pretending you don't know your mom while she interviews you. ^^ I'm more confident now, though, I think, so hopefully the interview will go okay.

I've done absolutely nothing today.

Oh wait; I organized my favorites list. Oh how productive I am. Truly.

Heh, that's like me the last few days... but today I finally got off my ass and started organizing my room. It's a freaking war zone in here right now, but it's slowly getting more organized... putting some older stuff (ie. Sonic comics... heh) into boxes to make room for my DVDs and newer books in my bookcase and white cabinet... this is gonna take awhile. *sigh*

And hey, organizing favourites/computer folders/etc is one of my favourite ways of doing nothing important while still feeling productive. XD Great for procrastinating during exams.

Hahaha.. Cute little file naming systems and everything. :p

I need to do that too. But apart from my computer and my box of video games, I don't really have anything to get rid of..maybe a couple of board games or something that I threw in my closet when I moved in and never looked at again. My Mom wants to buy me a new set of furniture, even though I'm really indifferent about it. She has this obsessive need to upgrade my room (and my Dad's), even though she's never in it, so the house 'looks nice'. So who am I to argue? *shrug*
