Well, I did it: I registered in Film 100 tonight. May 9th-June 17th, Mon/Wed/Fri, 2-4. So, I've missed the first two classes, but I'll find someone in the class to get the notes from. Drop-date for the course is... Friday. Heh. So, I'm going to go on Friday, and if I absolutely hate it then at least I can drop it that day. Don't get the $80 deposit back, though, so hopefully it'll work out. I need the course to go on in Film, and better to get it done with now than to waste 3rd year on it. And speaking of, I've changed my mind yet again, and I'm back to seriously considering Carleton. I was thinking of Interdisciplinary Studies at UBC for awhile, but there's just not enough interesting courses. Carleton, on the other hand, is very much Arts-oriented, and has some awesome courses. Case in point: they have a History course called "History in Cinema", about the representation of history in films, and how it effects our knowledge of history. Dunno if I'd take it, but pretty darned cool that they'd even have a course like that! I'm hoping to book an appointment w/ Arts Advising soon to figure out what exactly I need to do to transfer, because UBC's page tells me nothing. Maybe I should contact Carleton first? But I assume that I need to let UBC know that I'm transfering. ^^; I wish they had some info about it online, but I couldn't find anything.
And in the meantime... class on Friday. Eek. Haven't quite wrapped my brain around idea that I'm taking a course again. ;_; At least it should be interesting. And, evidently, my parents know my prof. *laughs* I like having these contacts. :P
