(no subject)

Should have posted this a couple of days ago, but... lgbtfest is open again for prompts! So exciting!! :) I'm not sure if I'll write anything this year (I stress enough over writing, never mind with a deadline, and I've got several other fics to finish... plus I'd really have to finish the fic before I leave or else it'd just be too stressful trying to finish it in Australia. Still, we'll see.. if a prompt inspires me, maybe something short.). Still, it's fun to see the prompts and I'm vaguely planning to leave some. And I can't wait to read the fic. And punditslash/fakenews fandom is out in full tilt now with a number of prompts being submitted from it. Yay!

Anyway, in other news... today's my last full day in my place! :( Moving out tomorrow. Got most of my stuff packed up, but still have a ways to go. *sigh* Gonna miss living alone (and in the cove!!), but not gonna miss living under someone who plays loud music (and sometimes vacuums) at 7am. ^^

DUDE I rock!! The video store called and left a message and I went in all excited because I knew why they'd called (the Oscar contest), and I talked to the owner (my old boss, too - yeah, small island, what can I say? I've worked my way around a few of the businesses here. ^^;) and she said I was the ONLY ONE who guessed them all right!!! *bounce* I'm kinda ridiculously proud of myself, even though most of them were either dead certain ones IMO (best picture/director/supporting actor), or ones I was pretty sure about (best actress (based on her winning at the Globes, mainly, as well as the media coverage), but getting supporting actress and best actor were definite gambles. I chose Penelope Cruz on the basis of Stephen Colbert choosing her, lol, because I had no idea about that category. And I went back and forth between Sean Penn and Mickey Rourke for a few minutes before saying "hell with it, I want Sean to win..." Was worried I'd screwed myself over with that one, but it worked out in the end!

Anyway. ONLY ONE to win. Out of 40-50 entries, she told me! I was SO excited, it was slightly embarrassing. XD Not even about the prize (5 free movie rentals, though that's pretty nifty), but the fact that I was the only one and the fact that she's going to get the local paper to take a picture of me for it. XD XD Yay me.
