Apr. 21st, 2008 09:04 pmHow not to be able to concentrate on writing one's essay, or, for that matter, not looking like a dipstick, on the ferry while listening to The Bedlam Bards... gaaah. *bounces* I love this CD; I wanna sing along... I'm compensating by swaying slightly with a ridiculous grin on my face. LOL.
I got 2 sentences written, anyway. Won't be able to post this til I get home, but as of the writing of it I'm halfway across the water b/w HSB and Bowen, and listening to River's Dance. And trying not to bounce. Which is the real reason I'm writing this post, to prevent myself from bouncing around and humming outloud on the ferry. XD XD
But yeah. Didn't get any work done today, after all... didnt' feel well this morning, so stayed home and instead of writing my essay I finished reading a fic I've been reading for the past week. ^^;;;; And looking at flights, more. Think I'm going to fly British Airways direct from Vancouver to London and back, now, and I'll just get from Paris to London at the end via Easyjet or something (it's like 30 pounds...). That comes to ~$1100. More expensive than ZoomAir, but the dates work better. And we're ditching the idea of a roadtrip through the Rockies in June, so I'll have more paid days to take off in September. Mom's calling Stratford tomorrow to ask about Hamlet tickets - praying there are still tickets available for the day we want!! I'll seriously cry if there aren't, though maybe we could change the dates slightly. I'm so ridiculously excited for this play, now. ^^ *starts making plans for stalking Tennant backstage after the play* Lol, j/k... *ahem*
Anyway, long and busy yet really rather unproductive day. Went with
bk635 out to UBC, dropped off books, then went to AZ Games on Broadway. Fucking awesome store, tons and tons of oldschool games (including Japanese games! including Japanese original FFIV for the Super Famicon!! Duuuude.), but expensive. I mean, yeah, I'll grant that FFIV/VI are worth a fair amount now, but really, $90 each for just the cartridge? I can get it cheaper on eBay... much cheaper... anyway, I found another one, in New West just near Columbia Skytrain Station - www.gamedeals.ca. Looks sweet, and pretty easy to get to since it's just the skytrain. It's next on our list, now. :) And they have collectibles! And plushies!! *iz more excited about the plushies than anything* (what if they have plush cacteurs?? I can dream...)
Aww, Leaf on the Wind is playing now... this song makes me sad. :( We're almost pulling into Snug Cove, so I'm gonna shut this down and post it later.
Ooh, wait, might be able to connect to wireless now. *tries to post*
...eh, maybe not. Closing computer now.
*ten minutes later* Fuck me, that walk from the ferry up to my place is surprisingly long and hard. Least if you're me, and you're ridiculously out of shape. And it's absurdly cold out for April. And I was carrying a duffel bag and plastic bag in addition to my not-light backpack. I am now exhausted. *grin*
