Mmm, I love Saturdays... and I love massages. *happy sigh* Short day at work, and we cashed off as early as we could get away with and were out of there within 5-10 minutes after closing at 2 (normally we're there, or supposed to be there, until 2:30). Then I had a massage appointment, which was very nice indeed. :) I'm feeling all light and loose and floaty now... gonna go play some Disgaea 2, I think, then Dad's coming in a bit to put up one of his paintings that he's lending me for my new place.

Also, Paris and England maaay be a go! I talked to my boss and she's willing to let me take a couple of extra days of unpaid holiday, so I can prob be gone for about a week and a bit, between weekends and days off. Sweet. David Tennant, here I come!! It'll be wonderful to see a really good performance of Hamlet, too - I've only ever seen 2 live; one was decent, though I don't really remember it because it was about 8 years ago, and the other... ehehehehe. Well, you remember, [livejournal.com profile] bk635. It was probably bar none the worst performance of Shakespeare I've ever seen. ^^ Hell, my high school production of Midsummer Night's Dream in grade 9 was better... substantially better, actually. Anyway, I saw the Royal Shakespeare once at Stratford-Upon-Avon years ago, back in 2000 - Romeo and Juliet. It was amazing, easily the best I've ever seen. The actors were able to make every word completely clear and understandable, which is no small feat, really. (unlike the aforementioned Hamlet, where the actors spoke so fast that I could barely hear the words, never mind understand the meaning. If I hadn't already known and studied the play, I really dont' know that I would have understood what was going on... o.o).

*bounce* Eeee, I really want to go now... plus, Paris! It's been 8 years since I've been there... wow. I remember it quite clearly, but I still haven't been there as an adult (I was 14 last time). I'd love to see it again. Dad's potentially trying to get a show there, too, but we're not sure yet. That'd be fantastic, if he could... I don't think he's shown in Paris yet, and I know he'd love to (who wouldn't, really?).

Well, better try not to get too excited yet... but I hope it happens. I'd better start saving money. o.o Least my parents said that my accomodation will be taken care of; they're going to rent an apartment for a week, and they don't seem to expect me to pay for any of that. :) But gotta get there, and then I'll try to chip in for food and attractions and such.

Heh, so I totally just spend the last hour searching for flights to London then back from Paris... Zoom Airlines (flyzoom.com) is pretty damned cheap! I took them to Italy two years ago; had never heard of them before that. Van-London and Paris-Van comes to $830 altogether! Though the departure date's not the best. I might take another one that I found on flightcentre.ca ("flyglobespan", whatever the hell that is - hopefully not TOO crappy!) that was $357 altogether (seriously) from Van-London. That would take out one of the days I'd have to get off... As it is, I'll have to get 4-5 days unpaid, prob - hope I'll get it... though hell, I might not even have this job anymore by then, who knows?

Watched Doctor Who 4.3 tonight. Good ep. So excited to think that I may be seeing him on stage in a few monthes!! Oh man... it'd be amazing to see. I really hope this happens now. And def excited for Paris, too. It's been too long!

So. Tomorrow is essay writing day, for real. I'll have to force myself to just sit down and bloody well write all day. Well, til ~5, anyway, then I'm heading to my parents' place for dinner with them and the grandparents. Then Monday I'm heading down on the 9:30, prob, then going to Parkgate Library to write more, then heading out to UBC and to a video game store with [livejournal.com profile] bk635. And speaking of - how does leaving ~1 sound to you? Dad wants to get the 5:30 home... We leave on, say, the 12:35 or whatever bus from outside of your place, get to UBC ~2, drop off my books, maybe look around for a bit, leave for the store somewhere between 2 and 3 depending on how long we want to stay at UBC, then eventually wind up at the skytrain ~4. Skytrain to the seabus, then Dad's picking me up at the Quay and we're heading straight to HSB. *thinks* I hope that's enough time... should be. You wanna look around UBC? If not, we'll be fine. If so, we can leave a bit earlier maybe?

And you know, I should never start a new video game when I have a paper due... *is twitching to play more Disgaea 2* Dammit! ^^; Okay, bed now, it's getting late.
