FFXII trailer

Check it out! A 6-7 minute FFXII trailer is up on Suprnova. I had some trouble playing it; it's an ".mkv" file, which I've never heard of, and it wouldn't play in Winamp/DivX/WMP, but it played in VLC, which is some random movie player I d-loaded awhile ago b/c I was having trouble with WMP playing certain files. The torrent says it's subbed, which it isn't, but maybe the subtitles just don't show up in this program, I dunno... either way, it's very cool. ^^ Damn, I hope they give us the option of using the Japanese voices, cause I like Balfrea's (or whatever his name is) voice. Also, he reminds me a lot of Seifer. ^^ He does the "come and get it" hand gesture like Seifer does in the VIII opening. *g*

Also, if anyone knows any other programs to play it, that maybe show the alledged subtitles, let me know. ^_^ Man, can't wait until this comes out... it was delayed until Spring 2005 in Japan, so who knows when we'll get it here. ;_; Also, looking forward to E3 this coming week; wonder what kinds of details will come out? I was trying to figure out the battle system from the brief shots; it looks like it takes place on the map itself, not on a separate screen, but it's hard to tell. Also, it seems that when you're just walking about your HP/MP/etc is displayed, which possibly backs that idea up.

Well... Not sure if the get-together's going to happen anymore. bronzejarith and caspertheghost aren't coming, and as it is I'm having trouble figuring out when we can have it and if Jason and morgandy can come, so unless anyone really wants to do it still, then I guess that's it. Hopefully some of us can get together at some point or another and do stuff; I dunno, go to a movie or something... Troy comes out next week, if anyone wants to see it.

Possible plans...?

So, I talked to morgandy, and we're thinking of getting together with some others to see a movie, possibly "Troy", or something else if people don't want to go to that. Is anyone interested in coming? bk635? We're thinking next Sunday at Metropolis, maybe the late showing (though of course the times aren't out yet, so we won't know the details until Friday). She can do Friday, too, but given that that's opening night it'll likely be very busy.

Any thoughts? Anyone intersted? With the get-together assumedly canned, it'd still be nice to get at least a few of us together and hang out again, and I know I'd like to see morgandy again. ^_^ And come on, Shirtless!Orli - can anyone really say no to that? *pause* Okay, except maybe bk635. *wink*
