Actually, before I go to bed - I'm going to post my essay up here. If anyone has a chance, could you respond by tomorrow at ~12:20? I'll pop back to my dorm to see if anyone's replied before I go to class at 12:30. I'm not really looking for detailed analysis, since I have no time to revise based on it, but some brief comments on if you think it's any good or not will be appreciated.. I'm worried that it's just too long now, but I think I've fixed some of the issues of the original version by adding stuff in (ie examples and stronger opinions). I hope. ^^;; Any feedback would be appreciated... thankies.

Bored-ness=rambling...

Managed to get another 50-odd pages of Devils read in the library after class... up to pg450. 300 left. ;_; Still, I'm getting there. Plan to read up to pg500 if possible this evening, then another 100 tomorrow, then the last 50 on Friday. That will give me Saturday and Sunday to work on my essay having finished the book, so I should theoretically be okay. I have no idea what topic to do, though. I think I'd like to write on the character Stavrogin, but there's no question that really asks about him. There's one about his interactions with the various female characters, but I want to write on his character itself. Maybe. Or the one on suicide. There's a lot of suicide in this book. -_- And death. And conspiracy. And madness. The characters are all fucking insane... it's scary. ^^ Well, I could do the essay on Peter and talk about how fucking insane he is... O.o

Need to study Psych at some point, too, since my test is on Monday... Otoh, it's only worth 2.5% so basically I'm just going to read the chapters, highlight a bit, and pray. Next week I'll get down and start taking detailed notes on the chapters, since they'll be on the final exam in April. Though seriously, Psych right now is kinda creeping me out... we've finished Psychological disorders, but now we're on to treatments - and we discussed electroconvulsive therapy today. If I hadn't seen Shattered/Asylum on Smallville then it probably wouldn't freak me out so much, but as it is I keep thinking of those eps and getting all edgy and disturbed. ^^ Although I don't think that IRL it's quite as bad of a procedure. It does cause memory loss, but I'm pretty sure that the "'50% chance of becoming a vegetable" that they talking about on Smallville isn't actually real. I figure my prof would have mentioned something that important. O.o

Watch me stall... -_- Not really sure what to do right now, though. Just spent over an hour reading, and now don't particularly want to study more... otoh, nothing better to do. -_- Guess I could do Psych... *coughlazycough* I'd be watching Buffy, but today's ep.. really not that good. Excepting the nummyness of Xander in a bathing suit (back before he gained weight and stopped being as hot as he was in 1-3...), there's really not much redeeming about this ep. ^^ Might watch Angel tonight, though... missed Reunion yesterday. Doh.

Right. Still stalling. I'm going to go, uh... no clue. Maybe play VGs, actually. *cough* I mean, "do Psych"... *sigh*

Ooh, one other note that I just remembered - I was at the bookstore today and noticed that Harry Potter was one of the required texts for Eng468 (Childrens Lit). Damn, I want to take that course now. If only so I can bitch at the teacher about how Harry Potter isn't a children's book. Mwah. I mean, JK Rowling herself has said so... honestly. -_-

Course, one will notice that the particular book was Philosopher's Stone (and I noticed Prisoner of Azkaban, too), not Order of the Phoenix. Heh, somehow I doubt they could justify putting OotP into a childrens lit course... *g* Honestly, even PoA I wouldn't consider particularly childish... PS and CoS I can potentially see, but PoA? Pretty dark. Never minding GoF... ^^ I will just sit here and wait for the day when the series will be on a normal 20th century English lit course... maybe she'll convince the world once and for all in books 6 and 7. ^^ Especially given that she's said they'll only get darker from here. *grins*

It feels good to talk about HP. Wee. I miss it. Should read them again, or at least read some fanfic... Hmm, Carole's put up the newest chapter for A Sirius Change recently; should really read that.

*blink* Okay, I've been informed that my Hotmail's, well, died pretty much, since I'm not getting any LJ replies and evidently there have been long conversations made on my LJ. O.O Am now going through LJ and replying to posts... hm. *sigh* bronzejarith may be right; I need to get a new email address. Bugger... -_- I want to stick with Hotmail cause I'm used to it, but maybe I should switch...

Barring that, what could be causing this? Maybe my LJ notification turned off somehow? But Mom was trying to send me an email yesterday and coudn't get through... I'll clear out my email, but it's not full or anything... *sigh* It's probably just Hotmail being a bitch. :P

Grand total in Devils for the day is 100 pages read... whew. O.o Which brings me to just over 500/750. Omg, I think I'm actually going to make it! *grins* Now there's just the question of what topic to do... *sigh* And I'd like to get that figured out by Friday so I can ask my prof any questions I might have.

Oh, and forgot to mention - I picked up a cheque today from Brock Hall, that the Awards&Finances place wanted to give me for some... unknown reason. ^^;; $260, and I still don't know why! O.o I think it's leftover from my Passport to Education (I know that there was more on it than I needed to finish paying my tuition), but I didn't think they gave cash refunds for it... oh well. No complaints here. :P
