Angel 5X16 "Shells"

Ended up re-watching the entirety of "Shells"... was far more enjoyable seeing it from the start. Also, had trouble hearing it in the lounge; should have turned it up louder... Anyway, here are some thoughts on the ep; I'm tired and too lazy to edit them, so forgive any ramblings or mistakes... Everything behind the cut tag whited out, just in case...

5 more weeks... Then the last 6 episodes ever. *cries* I heard UPN turned down the possibility of taking Angel on - that hasn't been confirmed, but it's likely... so much for that idea. ;_;

*watches Smallville s2 finale* *screams* *runs to watch s3 premiere*

Damn, it would've sucked to have been you last summer, Jane. :P The thing with Chloe, and the thing with Clark I already sorta knew (def knew the thing about Chloe; had inklings about what would happen to Clark at the end of the season), but Lex... EEK. O.O Cliffhangers suck. *grin*

*watchs Smallville s3 premiere* *screams even louder* Holy SHIT. O.O Damn, I think that's a worse cliffhanger than the season 2 finale... course, there would've only been a 1 week wait, not a 3-4 month one. ^^ Or, in my case, approximately 30 minutes since I have to go to dinner before I can watch the next ep... OMG. *stares at screen* How did you stand it, Jane? ;_;

Having many issues with getting the file to work properly, though. Only program I can play it close to properly in is DivX, and the sound is way off the video in it. bronzejarith tried something to fix it, but no luck. *sigh* I hope the next ones aren't like that; it's very off-putting watching it with the sound ~2 seconds before the video. ^^;;

Smallville thoughts...

Some quick comments on Smallville eps 2X22-3X02 before I go work...

Well, that's it for now... fortunately 3X02 was not a cliffhanger like the last 4 bloody episodes, so I can take a break now. ^^;; Had really better go work on my essay.. I think I'm going to do the one about Mill's opinion on censorship on the press, and comparing that to Milton's and Plato's stances. So, I'd better go find out what Mill's stance is, and refresh my memory of the other two.. ^_^

*mental note to find screenshots of Lex shirtless in 3X01 cause... yeah. Heh.* Jane, any chance we get to see more of him minus a shirt? :P Preferably a bit... cleaner? ^^;; Also, dear god but I can't count how many times Clark was a. shirtless, b. beaten up in some way, or c. both, in these last few eps. Between that and the leather jacket... damn. O.o If there is one thing that Smallville cannot be denied as being, it is certainly a very, very pretty show. *SNERK*

Also, would it kill them to not show the Vancouver skyline, oh, how many times? -_- It was kinda just a bit obvious. And they kept panning over Canada Place.. I was like, "um, that's a pretty easily recognizable building if you know the Vancouver skyline even a bit... maybe you could, you know, at least TRY to pretend that Metropolis is not Vancouver?" *sweatdrop* Also noticed the Second Narrows Bridge many times, and they didn't even both to hide the mountains... where exactly is Metropolis supposed to be, anyway? ^^ I'm not exactly knowledgable in any Superman info that hasn't been mentioned in Smallville... I'm just going to have to assume that Metropolis is definitely not in Kansas like Smallville is, cause... somehow don't think they have mountains like that there...

Oh, and before I go "work", one other thing - either I never noticed how cool the FFVII boss music is, or the remix of it on the "Black Mages" CD is very, very good, cause damn but that remix rocks a lot. ^^;; Never really noticed the VII boss music as being anything special, but that remix is freaking awesome... So, incidently, is the remix of the FFVI boss music on the same CD.

Yay, Psych midterm mark finally up... *looks* *sighs* Well, it only brought my percentage down ~1%. Still, I'm going to need to do _real_ well on the final to get my mark up where I want it (trying to get an 86% average to get the scholarship... do the words "yeah right" ring a bell? -_-). Have 2 extra credits so far, need to get around to doing 2 more things to get the last 2 credits. 4% will def help. ^^

Course, the fact that I've done next to no work all day... probably hasn't helped. *sigh* Next week=must work on Psych. And shit, next week we start Devils. O.O Haven't been reading it barely at all this week... *sigh*

Heeey, looky here... It's official - there's going to be a Firefly movie. In spite of my never watching that show, I'm glad. ^^ Will definitely see it, and am v. happy for Joss who deserves something like this after having the show itself cancelled. Not to mention Angel.

*blinks* Okay, I'm onto Smallville 3X03, and they're still using the s2 credits... I thought maybe 3X01-2 were the same because they were continuations of the S2 finale, but... this is odd. Jane, do the credits change at all this season? *blink*

Also - that guy (creepy Lana-stalker; don't know if he'll be in rest of ep since only seen teaser so far) looks like the guy, what's his name, Hunter I think, from the 3rd season of Queer as Folk. Huh. *goes to check if it's him*
