Finally beat FFX... yay

Well... I beat it. And yes, I cried. I am such a girl. ^^;; Probably wouldn't have if it wasn't for the scene of Auron being sent... what can I say, he was my fav character. ^^ Very ending scene was... ambiguous. Huh. Wonder what happens in X-2... *muse* I'll probably get it someday, once the price has gone down.
Damn, only one BRIEF shot of Jecht in FMV. Grr. His death scene should've been FMV-d.. I want FMV Jecht. ;_;
Nothing really happened that I didn't expect... I knew Tidus would disappear in some manner, and after we learned about Zanarkand being a "dream" I figured that was why. And once I learned Auron was dead I figured he'd get sent. So really, no surprises. Still, sufficiently moving and sad...
And okay, have to bitch: NO FINAL FANTASY THEME IN THE ENDING. GRRRRRR. No stars. No Prelude (though granted Prelude was used in the beginning of the game). Come ON people, those on FF staples... Yeeeeeesh.
All things considered, I think they could have done more w/ the other main chars in the ending - Lulu and Wakka did, like, nothing. -_- They were totally shafted after the first 1/2 or so of the game. *sigh*
Did Uematsu do the music? He wasn't listed. Evidently he did the three vocal songs (Suteki da ne, Otherworld, and the Hymn of the Fayth), but I don't think the rest... wah. Noticed that Amano was listed under art, which was interesting b/c I tought Nomura did all the art designs... though I've seen some FFX Amano art out there (and oooh pretty).
Final boss was a pushover. Yeesh. I freaked out when I saw there were more fights, but then I realized that everyone had Auto-Life and I was like... oh. okay. Yay. Hehe. What's with them and final FINAL battles after the final boss in Square games? FFVII, Xenogears... course, I think you could die in the latter one. Actually, I might have once. O.o
Grr, they used To Zanarkand for the final final music w/ The End on the screen... PRELUDE. STARS. GR. Pretty song, though.
V. curious as to what happens in FFX-2 now... I heard it wasn't very satisfactory in terms of wrapping up X's plot questions, though. Mary, without spoiling, do you know if it wraps up what happens to Tidus? Anything involving Auron, Jecht and Braska? Or just lots of Yuna et al running around in short skirts? -_-
Okay, now I can go read FFX fic as much as I like! Yaaaay!
Course, now I'm kinda... at ends. What should I do now? I think I'll finish re-playing Xenogears (I'm on disc2, so it won't take that long... just lots of... sitting. and watching. ooh, looky, the pendant's going... back... and forth... back... and forth... *hypnotized*), then start Xenosaga. I need to have the plot of Xenogears ground back into my head; I don't remember it well enough.
Waah, it's over.. this sucks. No more FFX to play. I could do all the extra stuff buuut... nah. O.o
Well, that's that. Off to read FFX slashfic and start on other games... First finish replaying Xenogears to remind self of plot, then Xenosaga time. And maybe finish FFVIII. And _possibly_ do FFX sidequest... stuff. Just for the sake of extra powering, although honestly the final boss resembled Sephiroth in terms of difficulty.. *sweatdrop*
Oh, and maybe, you know, do HOMEWORK. -_-

They never mentioned anything about Auron, Jecht or Braska in this game...I think.

I heard from someone that Paine is Auron's daughter, wtf? But I highly doubt it.

Date: 2004-02-05 09:50 pm (UTC)Actually, you get to find out about Tidus in the good and perfect endings. You know that very last FMV at the end of the credits in FFX? The good ending in FF X-2 starts right at that scene...that's why Tidus had stayed underwater for 2 years.

I just wish they kept the sphere grid system.
The music sucks, IMO, since Nobuo didn't compose for this game. THOSE ASSHOLES RUINED THE CHOCOBO THEME!!!! ;__;
