Angel 5X12 "You're Welcome"

Okay, more detail time... *thinks*

First, I'll say that I loved loved loved having the old Cordelia back. She was totally like her s1-2 self, and she was... wonderful... best acting CC's done since, well, season 2. She was an absolute pleasuse to watch, and I was cracking up at every line she said. *hugs Oldschool!Cordelia*

I should have a ton to say on this ep, so I'm just going to go ino point form and see what evolves... want to get to bed, though. ^^;;

1. Lindsey. Well. Um, okay. *blink* So... what now? Is that it? Is he gone? Dead/suffering in hell/whatever? All this excitement and that was IT? He was there to get revenge on Angel because, well, he hates Angel? Woo hoo. Blah. *sigh* I was so incredibly overjoyed and excited to see him back in Destiny - I was literally jumping all over the room. But for what? So he could be evil then disappear again? All things considered, I think they tied him up better in "Dead End". Maybe that should've been the end of him after all... really, I'm not sure what I would've liked to have seen done with Linds. Maybe have him come to an understanding of himself and good and evil and go off being not _good_ but not wholly _evil_ either? Sorta like Lilah? I dunno... but having him come back, be evil, and try to kill Angel - yippee. -_-

2. On the plus side, and also much more shallow side, dear GOD he looked hot. That fight scene - omg, I loved it so so so much... forget the Spike and Angel fuckfest fight of "Destiny", this was IT, man! This WAS teh manslash! This WAS teh hotness! Dear god. *gapes* When Linds pulled off his shirt and threw it at Angel I was like OMG, drool. And just in general, having Angel hitting Lindsey around.. beautiful, beautiful sight. There was so much UST there that it was just hilarious.

3. Eve. Woo hoo. Go die. I really, really, intensely, do not care about you. Other than vague dislike. Blah.

4. LOVED how they had just Angel and Wes coming in to see Cordy - the original 3, back together again... beautiful scene, they were all so happy and reunited... It was wonderful seeing Cordy and Wes friends again, in spite of her knowing what he was like last year. She's evidently forgiven him for everything, which given how she treated him post-Sleep Tight... Course, she did kill his girlfriend. And her apologizing for that was just so sniffly... Even though I certainly don't blame her for it. Stupid Jasmine. ^^

5. Cordy calling Angel on the mindwipe - you GO girl, you fucking ROCK! I loved her saying how he "raped their minds" - it's exactly what everyone's been thinking since Home... Seeing someone call him on that was great.

6. More mindwipe fallout - damn, the "you know, Angel's s-" was like, ERGH, torturing me much! -_- Still, wonder how long until they all start to wonder a bit? Esp Wes, with Angel previously mentioning "The father will kill the son".

7. Spike biting Cordy - huh? Whatever. I didn't really buy his "testing her for evilness" excuse, but I'm pretty sure that was the truth... huh.

8. Angel talking all stern and father-like to Spike after he tried to bite Cordy - hehe, he was so the disapproving father there. "Daddy's not done talking yet!" Remember that? Yeah, that. Hehehehe. He totally needed to grab him and kiss him _real_ hard right then...

9. Speaking of kissing, I so thought Angel was going to kiss Lindsey when he was holding him up before he threw him away. Okay, so I didn't really, but part of me seriously hoped he would...

10. Cordy bitch-talking to Eve - yay! "Lilah Jr"! Heh! Pale imitation of, more like it. Go Cordy.

11. Harmony offerring to torture Eve - hee. Love Harm.

12. What the HELL was Eve wearing? Esp in her first scene. Eeewww...

13. "Oh, you mean you two are groin buddies?" Anya moment. Heh.

14. So, it seems Angel's relatively back on track now... let's hope so. I should probably have more in-depth thoughts on that, and the whole "doing good at W&H" thing, since that was really the important issue of the episode, but I can't think of it with all the pretty shirtless-Lindsey hot fights with Angel and the angsty Cordy-ness, so..

15. For once Angel/Cordelia didn't seem forced, and it really seemed... natural. Right. I actually smiled at their kiss. This was right. This was how it should've been. And I think they were right to end it, because where could they go, really? If she left, there'd always be the "will she come back and get together with Angel?" question, and then there's the whole Buffy-cookies issue and... yeah. Complicated. So, inasmuch as I once loved her and loved her again this ep and will miss _this_ Cordy and am very sad that she's dead, I think that it wrapped up her arc and her arc w/ Angel nicely.

So, on that note, farewell Cordelia Chase... we loved you. ;_;



There's probably more I forgot, but I'll stick it in as it comes to mind, if anything does... bed now. Barely any classes tomorrow, so will concentrate on A. doing some Psych notes, and B. beating FFX. Almost done! ^^
