School crap and OTP bandwagon fun

Probably bombed the Psych test. Hell, it's only 2.5% of the year, so I don't really care. ^^ Just have to study really hard for the midterm which is worth 20%. O.o
Did okay on Friday's French test (20/25). Made several stupid mistakes. As always. Blah.
Did really well on my Burke Essay From Hell (88%... O.O), so go fig. Either he marks easier than Sirluck or it was actually a good essay... heh.
Arts 1 tutorial was hell. *groan* One of the women in my it presented her essay, and... whoa, NO freaking clue what was going on. It was written in a very original style (Prof. Burns said it was post-modern, which I'd agree with...), and it was deep and confusing and... weird. ^^ Good, but I had no idea what she was talking about... And bloody long, so I had to sit there forever listening to it and feeling confused, then listen through another 20 minutes of her and Prof. Burns talking about it. And we went over the end of tutorial ~15 minutes. *groan*
On more positive note, started reading Wuthering Heights which we're doing next week. Liking it muchly so far. I read a bit monthes ago, but I just re-started this time... it can be a bit hard to keep track of who's who (I need a family tree... O.O), but it's engaging. I need to start on Dostoevsky's "Devils" at some point, too; it's 600+ pages and I gather pretty hard to read. We're not doing it for over a month, but I need to get started anyway cause it's going to take forever to read. And, of course, I guess I should read the stuff for this week's essay at some point. O.o
So, of course, instead of doing that I'm going to hop on the OTP bandwagon that
bronzejarith is doing. I'm going to go waaay back in time and do my old OTPs, along with my current ones. I could probably think of a lot more slightly "lesser" OTPs, but I'll go for just the ones I really support(ed). So, first, Jan. 23rd through to today, in chronological order of when I was a fan:
Jan. 23rd - Zoisite/Kunzite (Bishoujo Senshi Sailormoon) - oldest OTP I can think of...
Was a _huge_ fan of these two back in the day. First ever slash pairing I liked, and my first obsession pairing-wise. I think. Other than, you know, YatenXMe. *grins* Anyway, I had a bit crush on Zoisite for at least a year or two, and I took great joy in stating such around the playground in grade 7 - "Zoisite is SO hot!" "But... Zoisite's a girl!" "Um, no he's not. Have you ever seen a girl that flat-chested?" "But then, you mean... he and Malachite, are, um..." "Kunzite. And yes. *swoon*" "Um, okay." *kids hide from me* *grins* Ahh, the days.. Anyway, I barely remember why I was so obsessed with them - they were both hot, they were evil, they were DAMNED cool, Zoisite was freaking insane, and they were just plain adorable together (when Kunzite gave him a flower? OMG!). I still remember reading NC017 fics back then (I wasm like, 12) and really not getting it. It wasn't until I was about 14 and had been into Tasuki/Chichiri for awhile that I finally realized _exactly_ what gay men do during sex. Lol. So yeah, nostalgic pairing #1...
Jan. 24th - Tasuki/Chichiri (Fushigi Yuugi, though I'm sure you all know THAT. Heh.)
Probably my second OTP, and the one I was most obsessed over out of all OTPs before or since. Heh. As
bronzejarith and all my hapless non-FY friends can attest, I was freaking nuts over them. They were easily my two favourite characters (and I spent far, far too much time musing over who I thought was hotter/cooler/whatever), and in spite of the fairly large lack of any canonical evidence for them, I loved them. I can't even remember what started me on them... I think I was searching out Nuriko/Hotohori or Nuriko/Tasuki fic or something and I came across a T/C and was like "Um, Tasuki? And Chichiri? Riiiight. How about no." Evidently I was curious, though, because I took a look and eventually got hooked.. then wrote a horrificly bad slashfic which I showed to
bronzejarith (didn't realize she didn't know about Nuriko's death... um, sorry? ^^;;), therefore getting _her_ interested, and it all went downhill from there until I was drawing little intertwined "wing" and "well" signs over everything. Dear god. Anyway, what drew me to them? I really couldn't say. I never _could_ explain why I liked them so much, I just... did. I suppose Chichiri was such an innately fascinating character, and Tasuki was so cool and passionate and fun and they just needed to be together in my mind... ^^;;
Jan. 25th - Sanosuke/Saitou (Rurouni Kenshin)
*muses* What led me to those two? Frankly, I dont' remember for the life of me. I think I realized how attached I was to Saitou when he "died" at the end of the Kyoto arc and I was like, "OMG, Saitou!". That led to The Insane Saitou Obsession, and I suppose that Sano's reaction to Saitou's "death" cottoned me on to the possibility of them as a couple... then to fanfics, and fanart, and writing bad poetry (seriously. I wrote an S/S poem for Eng11. It sucked.), and it just spiralled on and on... Why did I like them so much? Their relationship intrigued me. They were constantly fighting and insulting each other, but you could tell that Sano actually held a grudging bit of respect for Saitou, and I think Saitou had an odd fondness for Sano. In spite of the seeming hatred for each other, it was evident that a part of them grudgingly at least sort of cared for the other's existance, as could be seen when Saitou "died" and Sano was all like "you can't leave!" and Saitou's all like, "ahou". Heh. And aside from all that, they were both hot and had chemistry. So there. *grins*
Jan. 26th - Harry/Draco (Harry Potter)
Mmm, Harry/Draco... used to be my fav HP pairing; since has moved down to 3rd or forth... still, for awhile there I loved them. They hate each other so much that there just _had_ to be some hidden passion there. The whole idea of Draco hating Harry so hard that he was in fact in love with him - and perhaps didn't even realize it. They were dark, passionate, angsty... and, after being in fandom long enough, I find it difficult to _not_ think of them as semi-friends, thanks to Cassie Claire's Draco Trilogy, among others. Interestingly enough, though, in spite of their oftentimes heavily suggestive relationship in said series, I've always advocated against them as a pairing in it. Their friendship is so powerful, and I want Harry and Hermione to end up together, and Draco and Ginny... stilll, outside of the DT I love Draco and Harry together, even if I rarely read fic of them anymore... hell, I rarely read HP fic, unless it's the DT (which, granted, hasn't been updated since,... June, I think?) or something similar. Anyway, I actually don't have much to say on them as a couple other than they're incredibly hot together and have lots of potential for wild, angsty, passionate affairs, so long live the S.S. Guns and Handcuffs!
Guess that's it for now. ^_^ I can think of so many random pairings I've loved, I really can't fit them all into 7 days... ^^ I'll just stick with the major/nostalgic ones, I guess.
Should probably do some reading of Shelley and Blake, but I've been studying all day... want to go play FFX. BLAH. *ahem* Or something. Going to PrideUBC discussion group tonight; that'll be interesting.. free pizza, at least.
