Hmm... I don't really have any shows that I actively hate, because if I dislike a show that much I just won't watch it. I generally dislike most reality TV shows, esp ones that are either a. overly shallow and/or offensive makeover shows that try to mold women into their idea of 'how women should be/look', esp if said show includes plastic surgery, or b. mainly based on humiliation and/or backstabbing and/or people generally being dicks to one another, whether it be the judges/hosts or the contestants.

That said I don't mind some reality shows, and not all makeover shows are completely cringe-worthy nor are all competition-based shows purely based on humiliation/backstabbing, but... most of them I still either dislike or have no interest in. They tend to reinforce certain social values esp in regards to gender, and they just make me sigh. Or, you know, they just bore me. ^^ I like watching the occasional bits of talent-based shows like Dancing with the Stars or whatnot, and I did get completely hooked on Masterchef: Australia while in Australia last year, but that's about it. Oh, and the Canadian series Dragon's Den, which is generally pretty entertaining and informative even if it sometimes goes over the top with the insults towards people coming on the show. ^^ Though I gotta say, some of them really deserve it... amazing the crazy things people think will make a good business!
