Do you have any access to a statement or bill regarding your laptop purchase? Those usually list out the computer's specs. I wonder if you can access it online at Dell through a purchase history option, or something.
CS3 is the latest version, IIRC. But they come with tools and options which you'll probably never use. My Dad wants to pay $200 to download a CS3 upgrade for whatever reason; I keep telling him it's a waste of money since he'll never need the new features.
