The other thing with the Program Guide is that you can use it to make your VCR record shows for when you might be out of the house, so you don't have to call your parents up and have them do it manually. Plus DigitalTV comes with US time shifting, so it would probably free-up that nasty TV schedule of yours.
I'd do it. $1 more no big deal, and you could pay for two of the $98 Digital receiver boxes for your TVs if you really wanted it, so it really wouldn't come down to anything extra from your parents. Something to mull over, I guess. At the end of the trial period I want the Digital TV + Movies package, but I need to talk it over with my Dad first. >.>
The Digital TV PVR is a lot more expensive though, at $325, but you can pay it off with a $10/month plan, but the PVR isn't really necessary.
