No, it's Britsh. This season was only 13 eps; I think that's fairly typical for shows there. I'm not sure when series 2 starts; I'm just guessing September. Article I read says "later next year". Bleh. Well, in the meantime I plan to watch the 2005 Doctor Who to get familiar with that and see the episodes that the Torchwood main character are in. :) Because he's evidentally returning in series 3 which is airing now, and that'll no doubt tie in with the events of TW.
