David Yates to direct Deathly Hallows

Oh, bugger all. ;_; I'm happy enough with the decision to split it into 2 films, which is probably a pretty good idea given the importance and length of the book, but David Yates... ehhh. I wasn't especially fond of Order of the Phoenix, though maybe that's just because it's one of the weaker books imo. It was okay, but I wasn't wowed by it like I was by PoA and GoF. I'm hoping that HBP will be less disappointing. And now I have to worry about DH... I was hoping that Alfonso Cuaron or Mike Newell (I think that was his name?) would return to direct it. Alfonso would've been great... oh wells. Hopefully it'll work out okay. I know a lot of people loved OotP and considered it the best so far, so I'm probably one of the relative few who wasn't amazed by it. Enjoyed it more the second time around, though.

Heh, it's amusing watching Men in Trees while sitting in 'Jack's house'. Dad forgot it was on tonight, and he was flipping the channels when he came across Anne Heche and James Tupper making out in our house. Amusing. (especially given that rumour has it they hooked up for real while shooting here. Yikes.) Also odd to see all the furniture and random props and crap that we lived with for monthes while this place was a standing set... Here's hoping this show, silly though it is, gets renewed for next season - we make a nice chunk of cash every month from renting it out, while we're happily living up on Bowen. :) Pays for the rent here, at least, with a fair amount left over. Lets us keep this place, which is great because I like having a place in town. Would probably go nuts if I didn't have one, much though I like Bowen.
