Feb. 22nd, 2008 08:45 pmSo. My computer's dead, and I'm not happy. Well, maybe not dead, just resting. ;) But seriously, I can't get it to boot up. *sigh* It was happily on and working for awhile, albeit very slow, when suddenly a bunch of error messages popped up then it went to a Blue Screen of Death that had some sort of error messages on it. I've tried starting it multiple times, includingi n safe mode, with no luck. I don't really know what the errors are... I'm on Mom's computer going through Dell's troubleshooting for blue screen problems (it was the first problem listed, lol. This shit is way too common.) so maybe once I've done that I'll know. Something about some files being missed or corrupted or I dunno. If the troubleshooting doesn't work, then I'll take it to the computer place on the island if they're open.
Okay, wait.. am restarting it again for the troubleshooting, and it brings up an error saying "delayed write failed" and "windows was unable to save your data from something something" shit it disappeared before I could transcribe it, now it's on the blue screen. "A problem has been detected and Windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer" Lesse... it says to disable any anti-virus, disk defragmentation or backup utilities (how the fuck can I do that if I can't get into my computer?). Then to run CHKDSK /F to check for hard drive corruption. We tried to do that earlier, but although we almost were able to do that it crashed before the check would run. -__-
Okay, off to compare the screen to what the troubleshooter says. *sigh* Any ideas?
