Now that Buffy season 8 is taking off, it sounds like Joss is in talks to do an Angel season 6 comic, too. I know there have been some Angel comics since the series ended, several of which I believe took place post-series, but no proper, canon, written-by-Joss continuation of the series. I really hope this becomes reality. I don't expect any TV movies at this point, so comics seem like the closest we'll ever get. Getting Buffy season 8 is making me nostalgic for the series; part of me still loves both of them to bits, and it's wonderful to see them continued. Makes me all weepy. :)
Getting started on the writing of essay #2, aka media representations of prisons (using a collection of news articles, The Shawshank Redemption, and of course Oz). Been sitting in the living room with![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
shoebox_of_lies for the past three and a half hours watching TV, and brought out my laptop awhile ago to try to start writing while watching Napoleon Dynamite (yeah, right). Still working on a first sentence... Hate first sentences. ^^;
My computer is being really tempermental these days and it's making me nervous. It took FOREVER for it to turn on awhile ago, and for awhile I didn't think it even would turn on. Plus it's been overheating like crazy; the bottom is really hot right now (though perhaps in part because it's resting on my legs). I'd like to take it somewhere when I get home to get it looked at - maybe the fan needs cleaning (I remember when a computer guy opened up my last computer a few years ago and the fan was covered in a thick layer of dust). Does anyone know of anywhere (not Futureshop!) that I can take it? Somewhere cheap, preferably? Barring that, I'll take it to the guys on Bowen... shit, the fan's getting loudish now, too. I'm gonna turn it off... again. Sigh. This is not good. -_-
