May. 5th, 2005 11:04 amLast day in NYC! :( Mom left early this morning, and Dad and my flight is tonight at 11. It's been really exciting - I love this city already. ;) I'll give a full report when I get home, if I get around to it... we've been to a lot of museums - the big art ones like the Met and MoMA, of course, and also the Natural History Museum, which was pretty cool - big dinosaurs and stuff like that. Have spent quite a bit of time wandering around Time Square/Broadway area shopping and staring around us in awe like typical tourists. ;p Still, I've bought surprisingly little - just a few mangas at various JP bookstores, and a very very tacky piece of merchandise. And a present for a certain someone whose birthday's coming up. ^__-
Tuesday night we went to "The Producers", which was our big Broadway musical. We all loved it - it was hilarious, and just so far above anything we'd ever see in Vancouver... heh.
Anyway, I'd better wrap this up before my money runs out. Have to get back to the apartment; Dad and I are heading down to the Japan Society for a big exhibition on JP pop culture. Wee! We're probably not doing much else - now that Mom's gone, we can go as slow as we want... ^^ And ugh, my money just ran out again. *sticks 2 more quarters in* Now I have 10 more minutes which I don't need. Guess I'll go check updates and stuff. Am staying clear of any Lost sites/communities, since I missed last night's episode. We tried to tape it, but it didn't work. I've left Mom with instructions on how to d-load it once she gets home this afternoon, but who knows if she'll actually do it... heck, she wants to see it too. ^^; Speaking of TV, I actually got to catch the last 10-15 minutes of Fullmetal Alchemist on Saturday night - finally got to see it on TV! And it was episode 25, to boot... The dub's pretty good (I've already d-loaded a few eps of it before), though I don't really like Hughes's voice. Eh.
