Anime Club, other shit

Whew, that's it. Not sure when I'll go to a showing again, though - I'm way behind on their main shows (Hellsing and Kare Kano). Well, if you call "not started" way behind... We'll see.
Oh, and I started a Havoc-Roy ficcy in Astronomy today. ^_^ Post ch-40, fairly serious. I'm all for funny!Havoc/Roy since the pairing certainly lends itself to humour, but after the recent chapters I'm more interested in the serious side of Havoc and their relationship. No freaking idea where it's going, as long as it ends up with no clothes and a bed. *wink* Or possibly not.. We'll see. Roy's freaking hard to write for me, though so far (all 1 page of it) Havoc's not too bad. And it's from his PoV. I wish I could actually write fiction well, but I figure that that's no excuse for not trying. ^_^ And it's fun sometimes, when it's not frustrating as hell.
Random other stuff cuz I'm bored:
- Naruto 237's out today. Okay chapter. I liked 235 better, and 236 was so-so. I tend to be more interested in the less-major characters these days, ie. Shikamaru (hence liking 235). Possibly result of oversaturation of Naruto and Sasuke these last many, many chapters. -_-
- going home tomorrow morning to go to TKD. Probably not going to the Vanier costume contest and dance, although now that I've won once... ^^ But I doubt it'd be the same in a non-anime setting. Sunday my aunt's (![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
soliloloquyv's mom) going to be out here on business, and I might go out to dinner with her and my grandparents. We'll see.
- Bridget Jones' Diary presenation in Eng227 next Friday. Eek... Need to write up some stuff for it this weekend, then meeting with group on Monday. Other classes going okay. Need to catch up in Soci and Anth readings. Also have to finish Wilde's "The Picture of Dorian Gray" by Monday for Eng227. I don't want to get spoiled for it so I need to finish it. ;_; Only a few pages in, too...
- bought new CD-MP3 player on Thursday. $39 piece of shit. ^_^
- Buffy.nu is gone! Wtf? I hope it comes back. ;_; It just suddenly disappeared. That's by far the best place for Buffy and Angel news that I've found.
- 4-odd days left until Nov. 2nd and the election... I hate this waiting. I really wish it'd just be over and done with, although I'm scared that Dubya will win. I really hope that more Americans actually vote this time. It's frustrating being up here and wishing I could vote in their election, while lots of them don't even care. Well, guess we'll see... I just hope that we won't have a situation like last time where we'll have to wait weeks to find out the result.
- uhh... this is v. long. Better get to bed soon since I have to wake up tomorrow to bus home.
