*whimper* Is it wrong that I want to write a Martha/Lionel story? Is it wrong that that's the first Smallville plot bunny I've thought of yet, not a nice, normal Clex fic? ;_; My braaain... it huuurts... sniff. But I must say, of all the various arcs in s2, the Lionel-Martha one was one of the most intriguing ones for me. I mean, I love her with Jonathon and I think they're adorable together and all, but... there was something so wrong and dangerous and exciting about the idea of her and Lionel, and they certainly had an oddly close relationship while she was working for him. I was disappointed that they never really explored it as much as I would have liked them to.. oh well. Maybe I'm just weird. *grins* Hell, I'm the one who's also been thinking "hmm, you know, I bet Jonathon and Lionel had a thing going on in the past. that would explain why he hates him so much." Plus, you know, Jonathon's kinda hot. But maybe that's just me too.
And really, there just isn't enough fic on said characters out there... there's tons of Clex, Clana, Clark/Chloe, Chloe/Lana, Lana/Lex, etc... but the adults? Totally shafted. ^^ And Lionel's such an interesting character, even if I hold to wanting Lex to kill him for being the heartless son of a bitch that he is someday...
