Election
... ... ...I can't watch. Moment the last polls closed they started declaring a Conservative victory, and I don't have much hope now. I suppose it's not much of a surprise; they've been saying it for the last few weeks. As long as they don't get a majority...
oh god, I wanna leave the country. ;___;

While I don't support the Conservatives, I don't support the Liberals either.. It's a no-win situation for me. I'd rather not get into it on LiveJournal, but I'll explain via e-mail if you wish.
I predict a minority Conservative or minority Liberal government.

Now a Green victory, that'd be cool. XD They were leading in one riding for awhile... pity that didn't last.
Pretty sure it'll be minority Conservative now, based on the numbers.
And heh, seriously, I'm not actually planning to leave the country. XD I love Canada, I'm just scared that the things I love my country for will start changing.

While I agree that some of the Conservatives' stances (that you listed above) are wrong, too; the Liberals...I can't vote for them, for reasons I don't want to talk about on LJ.
But even if it is minority Conservative, I don't think there will be any drastic changes, if any; every time there is an election each party makes their own promises and plans for the future, but they almost never get around to putting any of them into action, it seems, because their agendas are always so back-logged with other items.

(Anonymous) 2006-01-24 04:45 am (UTC)(link)I hate our provincial Liberals, no question there, but I've never really associated the federal Liberals with them. The provincial Liberals are Conservatives in disguise. :/ But anyway, enough about that.. bleh, politics. *sighs*
