*looking through various discussions of Naruto on friends' LJs* I need to watch more of that... I liked it, just never got around to watching more. This summer I plan to watch lots of anime to get me hyped about Japan (*g*), and that's on my list.. so is Chrno Crusade and Peace Maker Kurogane. Not sure what else. Any suggestions? Tempted to re-watch Kenshin to get me in "old Japan & Shinsengumi mode". ^^ Hm,

bronzejarith, do you have it on CD? I used to have it, but I believe I'm missing discs 1-3. No clue where they went... Besides, they were horrible quality. And I'm not certain I want to download it all and burn it; even if I just burn up to the end of the Kyoto arc (really only plan to watch up to then, anyway) it will be at least 20 cds... Although I'd like to own it. If you have it, do you think I could copy your CDs?

Better get to bed now. Have to bus out tomorrow morning... *sigh*

I do think that'll last you through most of the summer, at the speed you're going. Um, there are too many -good- animes out there, so start narrowing down what you -don't- want to see. Besides, I thought you weren't "into" it anymore.

Hmm... I'm fairly open. I was just wondering if either of you had any personal favourites that you would highly recommend. I don't really know what's out these days. I can probably think of a few older animes I'd like to see, but I don't know about the more recent stuff.

Utena is cool. Should watch more of that, too. *g* Watched the first few eps that I had on tape, but never got a chance to see more.

The quality of my Utena (and

bronzejarith's) is abysmal compared to what we can get now. ^_^ It's centuries better than your Kenshin, though. It's a little fuzzy here and there (think high quality *.rm's), and you'd have to put up with some of the latter episodes freezing every 12 seconds for the first few minutes.

That or you can start on an 8.9 gigabyte torrent that I can link you to so you can get DVD rips of the show.

Mm.. Along with narrowing it down to what you don't want to see, I think you should also specify genres and other anime themes that you are interested in if you're going to ask for recommendations.

I don't know. When I helped you organize your anime last time, you were up to like, 87 or something? Far enough that one more encoded batch would put you up to completion. I haven't heard anything about you completing the series, and it's been a while since I helped you organize, so I just assumed.

I know that KAA dropped their Kenshin project, and I've never heard of P-A. But if it's been this long then they have probably dropped it too. Have you been checking?

I'm not really sure... I haven't seen much recently, but I'd like to start again. Esp if I go to Japan. ^^ I do rather miss it... And it will give me soemthing to watch over the summer. I have a few other TV shows I plan to d-load, but other than that nothing. So, back to anime. ^_^

I'm working, but when I'm not working I need something to do. :P And even if I do go to Japan it will only be for 2-odd weeks out of 4+ monthes, so...

Well, we really couldn't afford to go for a long amount of time... It would be 2-3 weeks. Hopefully enough to see most of the major sights. Besides, we don't want to leave poor Dad at home alone for too long. Heh. :P
