"What was it all for?"
*sniff* I just watched Babylon 5 4.05 "The Long Night" and now I'm all weepy... I don't remember crying in this episode in the past, but dammit I just bawled this time around. ^^; Specifically during the Londo-Vir scene mid-way through - those two just break my heart. ;__; Especially Londo talking about when Vir first came aboard B5, and how innocent and "full of joy" he was, and how Londo envied him and still does. Gah. And Vir, trying desperately to come to terms with what he's done, and looking out the window at the celebrations wondering what it was all for. Oh Vir. ;_; Watching their character arcs unfold side by side, as well as G'Kar's, never fails to amaze me. Especially knowing how it will all end.. (and for the record, yes I also bawled during WWE Pt.2 in S3 this time round - pretty much through the entire flashforward. ^^;). Anyway, I've always had great love for the first 6 eps of S4, particularly the Centauri Prime stuff. I mean yeah, big war, Shadows and Vorlons, blah blah blah, that's all great too, but the heart of this episode for me was the Vir-Londo scene. Though the stuff with Ericsson and Sheridan at the end was good, too. Made me tear up again; not hard once I've already been sobbing. XD
I love this show so ridiculously much. I was watching Inside the Box the other night, this kinda silly TV game show about TV shows (they have to guess TV show names and actors and such), and one of the shows was B5. I tentatively guessed it very early on, and "ship called the White Star" obviously gave it away. :) I got all bouncy and excited as a result; I love it when the shows on that show are ones that not only I recognize but are also a favourite of mine (esp cuz it's reasonably obscure and cult-ish). Oh, and tonight the actor the guy had to guess in the money round was Greg Grunberg - I would've won, like, $14,000 if it'd been me, cuz he got a give-away clue very early on ("he shows on up J.J Abrams shows" or something - and of course Greg's been in, like, every show J.J.'s ever done. ^^;). The guy didn't get it, either. Neither did the woman the other night with B5 - she guessed 'Serenity' at one point, which made me laugh and eyeroll (wrong decade, honey, also that's a movie.). She guessed Serenity for another earlier show, too, which was also sci-fi. Amusing. She's clearly never seen it, it's probably just one of the only sci-fi shows/movies she's heard of. XD
Anyway. It's happy TV night tonight! :) SPN, Lost, and GA... though I'll have to download GA for tomorrow, since I'm lacking a blank tape. Oh well.
I'm holding myself back from watching 4.06... too much else to watch tonight. I'll watch it tomorrow... I'm not as hugely fond of the rest of s4, but the end of the season's great. But I don't really recall too much meaty Londo-G'Kar-Vir stuff from now until s5, which makes me sad. Most of the rest of the season's about Earth... oh well, it's good stuff too. And the Stephen-Marcus scenes that I wanted to write that fic about are coming up soon. XD
