Yeah, very true. That's one of the reasons I don't get around to playing, say, FFXII too often - I need at least an hour to an hour and a half open, and I'm always slightly worried that I'll be caught out without being able to save. DQVIII was nice for that because if you really had to you could always warp out of a dungeon to the nearest save point. That's why I also like games where you can save anywhere - sure it decreases the challenge somewhat, but for convenience sake it's nice.
