Ah.

Why isn't summer the best time to visit? Well, other than visiting people you could travel a bit... which state are they in? You mentioned California earlier. If so, at least you could go to San Francisco (Yaoi con!) and Disneyland and stuff. And stalk stars in Hollywood. :P
