Smallville, Supernatural, job interview
May. 18th, 2007 05:05 pmSitting on the ferry, nothing better to do than write up reviews for Smallville and Supernatural last night... have yet to see The Office or Grey's Anatomy; they're taped up at the island. I was coordinating the taping of all my shows last night while I was out with
rainbowpegacorn for her birthday. XD Had a really good time. We went to Metrotown to Build-a-Bear and built a cow. We gave him a pirate outfit and named him Jack Sparrow. :) Then went out to dinner to a Korean restaurant which was fun though I can't say I liked the food all that much. But we went to Death by Chocolate after and had waffles so all was good. XD Lizzy was there, which was really nice. I haven't seen her much over the last few years, but I like her and I enjoyed chatting with her. Got all the gossip from high school, heh. Though I don't really know many people from Windsor anymore and I can't say I care all that much about the gossip. ^^
Anyway, Smallville... non-spoilery version, it was pretty good and the thing I expected to happen did in fact (probably) happen and I gotta congratulate the producers for having the guts for doing that. Ended on a cliffhanger, of course, and I'm rather worried about the fate of one of my favourite characters...
( Smallville 2.22 "Phantom" spoilers )
Anyway, forget Smallville, heh. I enjoyed it, but as soon as Supernatural started I all but forgot it... because holy CRAP. I almost cried during the RECAP, thanks to the use of "Carry On Wayward Son" which I have since downloaded and it makes me all flaily whenever I listen to it because it's a perfect Dean song.
( Supernatural 2.22 "All Hell Breaks Loose Part 2" spoilers )
Whew, done. So, the interview.. meep. Think it went well - I had to answer some short written questions "What is your ideal work environment"? and shit like that, and also had to do an aptitude test which I think went okay. I'm mostly worried because she said she wants someone who will be committed and will stay on for a few years. I basically said that I'm not sure at the moment and can't guarantee anything, but if it works out I could be willing to stay for a few years. I hope I sounded enthusiastic enough; I told her that I really want a job like that which will give me office experience, and that I want to work on my written communication skills since that's likely an area I will go into as a career. I don't exactly want to make a career out of banking, but it's a nice starting point. And I caught a glimpse on a piece of paper on her desk of the wage, and it says $14 for the first while (while I'm on probation) then up to $15.10. So yay! :) I hope I got it... *crosses fingers* I'll know early next week. And I'm already stressing about it... really want it, compared to Doc's. Still have to go to work at Doc's on Monday, and I'm a bit stressed about that. I'm not sure if they're going to train me anymore or if they're just going to throw me out there. o.o Plus it's a long weekend, so unless it rains Monday (*crosses fingers*) it'll be super busy. Waah.
