Oh, and almost forgot... fun fun on Grey's Anatomy tonight, with slight spoiler )

Guess I should go to bed. Angel's over. Thoroughly enjoyed it. :) Good memories.. am going back through my archive tagging stuff for fun. Found a meme which I'm gonna do again, since it's been 2 years and I have lots of new fandoms. Gonna go for all new fandoms in this one, so it'll be no use looking through my tags for the original post. ;p

Just finished watching FNL 2.02 on my TV through my laptop (scooore), and,

cut for spoilers )

Course, video started skipping during that final scene. Woe. Therein lies the problem with watching stuff on the computer... but it seems no worse using the TV as a monitor, at least. Next up, gonna try drawing on the TV. XD

Okay, I give in, I officially love this show. :) Just watched ep13, and I swear it just keeps getting better and better. Phenomenal acting, writing, music, direction... how did this show only get nominated for two Emmys? More than anything tonight, I think what stood out for me was how amazing the women in it are. Particularly Tami Taylor, who is one of the strongest and most incredible women that I've seen on TV in a long time. I just adore her, and I adore her relationship with Coach Taylor. They have such a true-to-life relationship - they fight like all married couples do, but they obviously love each other deeply and I love how ultimately they are usually willing to find compromise with each other and accept the other for who they are. I also increasingly love Tyra, who I was kinda "eh" on at first, but wow the last few episodes.. some vague spoilers for up to 1.13, cut just in case )

Right. Bed. Almost 12am and I have work tomorrow... on the plus side, tomorrow night is my crazy night of TV! NBC night of awesome comedy from 8-10, CW night of guilty pleasure sci-fi at 8 and pure awesomeness with sexy boys at 9, and ABC night of guilty pleasure medical drama at 9 *cough*. I do love Thursday nights. ;)

God I'm lazy... virtually all I've done this evening is sit on my ass on the couch and watch the Seinfeld marathon on ch48. Dude. Least I also got some scanning done while watching, then fiddled with the pictures while sitting on the couch (which wreaks absolute havoc on my back and neck, ouch). Just a couple of Prison Break drawings, inspired by [livejournal.com profile] ficangel's "A Walk-On Part In the War".

First up, Alex and Cameron from ch11. The image of Alex watching his traumatized young son sleep and reaching out to gently touch him just broke my heart and made me immediately need to draw it. :) I like how it turned out, all things considered... it's pretty sketchy and parts of it irritate me, but I rather like it anyway.

And second, a rushed sketch of Michael and Alex... inspired by the story in a more general way, as this doesn't really fit any of their kisses in the fic. It mostly just fulfilled my desire to draw the two of them together. :)

Guess I'd better go to bed now... but yay, tomorrow's Saturday! Only one more day of work this week and it's a short day! Plus the books ale at the library is today, and that's always fun... will walk down to check it out during my lunch break. Will grab a hot dog from the Paradise Grill and check out what they've got. Here's hoping it doesn't rain... they've got big tents set up, but even so. ^^;

[livejournal.com profile] bk635 - dunno bout Bourne Ultimatum yet. Depends on a few factors when I'm coming down. Maaybe tomorrow night, or else Monday afternoon. Want to see it, anyhow.

And on a totally random note, did ya'll know that Friday Night Lights s1 is retailing for a ridiculously low price? It's only $19.99 USD! $28 on Amazon.ca, because evidentally they haven't been informed of the real exchange rate (seriously, wtf? It's practically on par right now!). Will buy it from DVDPacific.com - they're American, but their shipping is cheap. Just checked Amazon.com (literally, right after I wrote that) and it's $1 more than DVDPacific.com. Hah. Well, we'll see... either is fine. Anyway, Mom's hooked on this show - she's been getting me to download it for her all summer and now we're buying it so that I can watch it (granted I have it all on my computer now, but I'd like to watch it on TV... just can't get around to watching things on my comp these days, it's so uncomfortable in comparison to my couch). Plus it's a really good show (I've seen 6 eps, anyway...) and hell it's cheap as heck! She just watched the last episode last night and wants to buy it because she thinks it's so good, heh.

Bed. Right. Going now... 1 more day of work, sigh.

(also, GIP - random shitty Alex icon that I started monthes ago and just fiddled with right now. This is why I don't make icons.. le sigh.)

*just finished watching Grey's Anatomy* But... butbutbut... waaaaaaaaah.spoilers )

And on a completely other note, I just spent a portion of the evening obsessively reading through a really really good Dean/Tim SPN/FNL crossover fic. GodDAMN. Never thought about them before, but she made it hot as hell and I loved how she developed their relationship. http://thisisbone.livejournal.com/181523.html Makes me want to go finish watching FNL... still only seen the first 6 eps. Mom's way ahead of me, heh. She keeps making me download more. XD Anyway though, it's nice to read crossover fic because I really want to slash the Winchester boys but I can't really get into Wincest and there are no male characters in SPN who I want to slash them with. So crossover fic makes me happy. :)

Drive was shiny. I enjoyed watching Nathan Fillion be all badass. Memories of Mal. XD Most of the characters were at least filled out a bit, and I like several of them. It was well shot, had remarkable special effects (all the car scenes are done with a green screen), good writing, and was entertaining and exciting. I'm happy, and looking forward to third ep tomorrow at 8. :)

Now off to finish watching ep3 of Friday Night Lights, which I am quite enjoying so far. I wasn't sure about it at first because football=yawn, but I've heard very good things about it and ultimately it really is about a lot more than football. It's very well done, well acted and well written. Really love the direction style, and the music is excellent and adds to the feel of the show. It's nice to see a high school drama done right...
